The "crash on char select" problem is most likely caused by an unnecessary program running in the background.

Curious, do you have a TV connected to your system wirelessly?

Edit: I will download the client later pending it still being an issue, so I can check on some things..

So many weird things, not quite sure why your folder is like that.

Why is it that a jjang is deemed to be SFX and to exist as an elu extension?

Was this your first time updating since the recent patch? I doubt that for a few reasons..
Or do your characters wear those clothes? Or they were updated in the last patch?
Or its something else?

Strange way to load this game is all I can say, can't offer any help.

Edit: I skipped something, lol...in hindsight, I would redownload..seems like you are missing files that may be required to load the character.
