It looks ok to me but there is place for improvement, starting by the borders. You should spend a little more time on the text too.

I see a lot of people saying crap about it when they don't really know anything about PS (apart from George), I'm guessing you haven't been on Photoshop for very long, if so then not a bad start, but you might want to look at tutorials and stuff like George was saying. There are a lot of techniques that are available on PS for you to use, for fonts try this site it has some nice fonts that you can download for free. Good luck learning PS and know that no one becomes awesome at PS in a day, it takes time.

PS: Focus on the text last, but after you're satisfied with the design, remember that you can do a lot of things to the text other than just a gradient overlay (:
