It is hardly noticeable.
The difference is vectors and pixels, which in this case did not matter much.
If he kept the logo as an alone standing image in it's full quality you would've seen how much cleaner a vector image can be unlike pixels.

Eh, yeah as Steph said it's hard to see the difference with the texture in the back, but on PS it looks a lot cleaner.
