Dead end - I had the idea in mind, I knew what I wanted it to look like, but I feel like something's wrong. Any idea on how to improve it?

What did you do to it? You added the bubbles and the jellyfish and gradient mapped it? anything else? It's hard to tell when we don't know what you've done.

hm..after debating for a while...I don't know maybe if you could get some backlight on the trees to make them look more 3D and to represent the moon's luminescence (the trunks)

i know its dark, and supposed to be..but something about the trunks just bugs me a little (if I were to critique)

overall, very well done piece imo

The big two jellies in the front are poorly blurry/done, think if you try and make those again it might make your overall piece look a lot better.
I actually like the whole idea of the piece!

Although you do not necessarily need to know what I've done -LP unintended reference- in order to tell me what looks weird in it, here's the original photo:

I strongly believe you are not blind. Yes it is dark.

Thanks for your criticism. Yeah that's a good idea to try and create shadows on the floor in relevance to the moon.

Thank you, these jellys were actually blurred on purpose, as to give a depth effect (to make them seem closer to the viewer's eyes).
I'll post an edit without blurring them and see how it looks.

Cool idea, but I didn't even notice the guy in the background.
I think it would be a better piece if you removed him
