That just takes away the whole suspense and surprise.

Showing changes or even a roadmap would cause people to argue about the changes before v8 is even released.

Patch notes after release would be good, not on release itself (like any patch coming after).
But with more detail/information in the patch notes unlike what is happend in the patch (too many things got left out).

They dont want to deal with a riot before its even out. I'm sure they will have patch notes on release.

Overall its pretty close, its just item balancing going on now for the most part.
