Suggestion description:
i made a few suggestions in the past about the fact that some players miss out on events because the event notifier isnt quite helping them when theyre not directly active on the forums, but none of them were uh....possible.
how about make a thread (maybe a sticky thread in the event section) that event mods can reply to whenever theyre about to host, and have the name of the thread in the ding list for those people interested in being "subscribed" to know when events are being hosted by simply having the chatbox open.
for example the name of the thread can contain "Event" and have players who are interested in being notified have "Event" added to their ding list.
Note before you reply: This doesnt mean extra work for the event mods, as it pretty much renders the event notifier they already have to activate useless because of the function i just suggested.
