Ye, sorry.

As for the plain background. I don't know if it possible.. but.. I would like the effect from really dark-black on the edges, going more and more grey, till eventually white, so the character will be center.

Something like this;

But than.. surrounding the whole character (so the color effect comes from 360 degrees).
