Help with spike!

I just gotten a new pc and my internet is really good but when i Cw i get 999 for like 10 sec at random times and people think I'm Nstepping how do i fix this annoying spike.

Btw i got Wireless i resetted my router many times and my Wireless stick I kept replugging it in and out no help.

Please help I will rep you If you fix this.

try to change your router settings by going 192.168.0.1 in your internet browser.

maybe its updating:
try to disable automatic updates or even disable the firewall

i got a good pc and internet 2
its ok i sent a message to SuperWaffle he told me to change the port setting in game to ; 1 ~ 99999
and go to this site : http://portforward.com/

Is there any other way but this? My brother won't do anything to the router.

And @Lukai I got Windows not vista.
