Just in case you use Windows 10 this could help.
Go to your Windows 10 settings ⇒ UPDATE & SECURITY ⇒ Windows Defender ⇒ Exclusions: Add an exclusion ⇒ Exclude a folder ⇒ (find the folder where you extracted/installed Freestyle GunZ 8 (usually C:\Program Files\FreestyleGunz)

You know. I never did look at the patcher when I was staff. Wonder what's wrong with it. File management stuff is pretty simple as far as c++ goes. Hopefully they find out what is going on. Id suspect the fgunz folder was made with system or some funky permissions stuff is going on.

For the system.fgz3 error, we're going to push an update later in an attempt to fix this.
It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready.
I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything.
