The screen shakes around every time a massive is thrown on v8 which is very annoying.

On my first day to play v8 it was headache inducing, many of my friends have complained about it as well. One of them gets drunk, and said the screen shaking made them nauseous. Some questioned if it was always this way and we just never noticed... but this is also noticeable on any automatic gun. So I believe it's a rendering problem with all FX.

Gun shake is more tolerable because it feels like the guns have power (even if it probably throws off aim so its bad), but the melee's camera shake is just disorienting. I have already gotten used to it, but I know more people who would want it removed.

A shake like this? (it is even more annoying when you are the enemy)

I guess what you're talking about is this Belching, and yes its exactly like that except a faster shake.

What settings do you use so I could replicate the "issue".

I play on minimal res for best input registry, but it happens regardless of resolution.

Massives and rockets always made the screen shake even on ijji. Guns however did not.

    For me
input delay > GunZ looking nice. ever since I used to play above 500fps and found out about sliding, I've just had my own crusade since then to find a way to minimize delay as much as possible. Most of the discoveries are my own in that regard but DOLPHINRIDER aka NotaKitten set me on that path telling me that playing with GunZ fps unlocked was a terrible way to play. (This is well before pservers or maiet introduced fps locks in the options)

I can play up to 1920x1080 on my TV with no fps drops at 250, but the input delay is another story. GunZ has spaghetti rendering code and pservers haven't helped any at all in that regard. I used to play on max res, but that was before I discovered that playing on any 4 : 3 ratio resolution has better input registration than any 16 : 9 ratio resolution.

And playing on 800x600 > 1024x768 is still better in terms of input lag. You can try these things yourself, I've tested and verified it with many other players, it's the difference between feeling like you have a ball and chain around your neck.

The screen shake still happens at 1920x1080, it's less noticeable when firing auto's like SMGs, Rifles or HMGs so it doesnt bother me much, but it's multiplied with a very noticeable shake (like the belch) when massives are involved. Havent yet tested if seeing other players auto's cause the screen to shake from my pov like it does with being massived.

I back this suggestion 100%. It's one of the reasons I uninstalled honestly. I didn't really have an issue as far as my screen shaking from weapons, but massives I noticed immediately. I even asked everyone else right away if they had the same issue with intense screen shaking from massives, and they all treated me like I had 5 heads and tried telling me it was the same (most likely trolling). So I'm glad it wasn't just me lol. Even playing sober it gave me headaches right away. Gladiator fights were torture for me lol. I'd always accidentally throw massives or not always be able to guess how to block my opponent's massive, and it would just be constant shake after shake. And I really hope the argument isn't gonna be to "get more skilled and learn to control massives and how to block them better, so that you won't deal with the massive shakes," because that'd just be kinda ****ed up lol.

I don't exactly remember all the settings I used when I played, so I can't share that with you unfortunately, but I hope this is something that can/will be adjusted. All the other v8 changes I don't mind and can adjust to, but this is a big one that really bothered me and apparently some others as well.

We could turn it into an option and disable it per default.
