    Well I've tried all the spam worthy ideas like:
    Port forwarding (both in-game and through the router settings page; yes also tried portforward.com )
    resetting the router
    reinstalling the game (even made me confused why I actually did this)

    From what you've tried i see that you haven't disabled your anti-virus and firewall yet? that fixes the issue for me. Try it out, it this won't work my apologies, because i have no idea what to do than.

    Forgot to mention that as well, doesn't work
    obviously because the thomson speedtouch series are random routers

    i had the Thompson speedtouch 780v6 and everything has always worked just fine for me, i just googled it for you and some people say that a firmware update could fix it.

    Yes, my router needs a weekly update too.

    Firmware is up to date so it can't be the problem
