Are you using Windows 10? I'm guessing you are, and I am also guessing you are talking about Windows Defender:
You can't delete Windows Defender, but you can disable it, to check if it's been properly disabled, search for "Windows Defender Security Center" and it should look like this:

If it doesn't look like that, then you haven't disabled Windows Defender.
