Did you try to simply run the Launcher as Administrator?
If that doesn't work, disable any anti-virus/malware programs and try again (as Admin).
Still nothing? Try adding it to your Windows Firewall list; doubt it will change anything but whatever (Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Windows Firewall\Allowed apps)

Same error was posted a few times before on the forums. Dave then said to download GunZ.exe from the website:

I had the same problem.

Allow the gunz file through your windows defender. Open it up and then look for the "trojan" file. Admin already said its just disguised as a trojan file but it actually isn't. So just allow it and try. And off your firewall when you wanna gunz.
It worked for me after allowing the file through.
