Remember that Dagger wouldn't be the only one in the team.
There will be way more people, everyone can apply for it.
We just thought that Dagger should be a part of it as the event team was his idea.
The Event Team doesn't have any powers.

The GM's can easily make their own event, they don't need help by Event Teams..
I think Dagger just want to have status in the server, thats why he came with this idea....?
