    This issue is easily solved by changing your resolution to the stretch setting. Find it in your AMD settings. If you don't find it, you might have it in your INTEL settings(if you have an integrated gpu, just check if you might have it). usually it will be on maintain aspect ratio, hence giving you black bars.(the aspect ratio is 4 : 3 so it's more of a square). Simply change the option to Stretch to screen or fit to screen, or anything that ignored aspect ratio and overrides your display options.
