Port Forwarding made simple.

Found this program about a week or 2 ago while i was bein bored.

Thought it might be helpful for people who dont understand port forwarding.

I Believe it should help and work with most people, had some trouble with mine however a very helpful program.

The Program is called Simple Port Forwarding, install it.

Run it and you'll get a screen something like this



Your gonna follow the quickstart guide on the right, i'll walk u through it...

Click the top one (Update Router List), you'll get something like this



Click Okay, it will download and install the newest routers, hit okay again and you'll be back to the 1st screen, however with a Green Check mark on the right side of the 1st step

Next, Click the second one, Select your router and set login info. Select your router from the list.



In the search bar that pops up insert the name of your router, Mine is a Belkin - F5D8631-4 v2.

Double click your router if its in the list (it should be) and then it should show a picture of it as well as the name of the router u selected in the Router Info section at the top.

We're going to skip step 3 as its not needed and can be troublesome to some people.

Step 4 is Choose which ports you need to forward, Click it and click the bar under neath Program Database, Find Gunz then hit Add, then Exit that step

You should see Gunz01 popup in the left side, your program should look almost exactly like this, except for your own router in the top at the spot and not mine.



Step 5 is actually updating the router, if you have a password/user name on your router you will have to do an extra step, Underneath your router in router info you will see a place for username and password, if u dont have a username but u have a password then leave the username blank and just enter the password.



After that everyone will Hit Update the Router step.



A Screen will pop up and the right side will show ur router, left will show what its doing, once its done it should say

After that Do step 6, just in case, it will add the ports automatically to windows firewall, hit do it now on that then hit X on the next screen once its done.

And Finally, Step 7, Test the ports, Hit Do it now and then Hit Begin.



It should say successful, if so you just portforwarded, if not then i can help u walkthrough it either using Teamviewer or msn.

Port forwarding is old and honestly doesnt do much.....

What i used to tell people is to change the ports in options in gunz.

Normally its a blocked port, theres a range of #'s that Gunz tries.

If they're all blocked thats what causes nat.

I change the range for people and that helps alot.

Change it from its default to
1 ~ 65535

or a high number.

Then gunz will go through all ports available to check if they're all blocked, which is normally not the case.
