    If your press allow when it says " allow this app to make changes to your device" does that not mean it can change things on your laptop?

    This means they can enter your laptop because you agreed to it, taking your passwords and such.

    Theoretically it can be harmful. Will it actually happen? Probably not.

    Short story, yes it could. But you shouldn't be worried about it, pretty much all games these days have that ability. So it's not going to be harmful.
