Have you tried turning ant-virus/firewall off?

Disable AV / Firewall or try running as admin or try running in compatibility mode.

This may cause your firewall, Download Game booster, It shut's down everything that ain't needed.

The things it shutdown may shutdown the program that is causing this.

iight , That problem was exact the same problem that I had.
I asked Dave ( SuperWaffle ) about it and helped me out.

1) Try to Reinstall.
2) Ask to Dave if he uploads his folder.
3) Turn your Firewall off.
4) Keep trying ?

I just had this problem earlier when i re-installed gunz. You should disable your antivirus firewall or add an exception, like the four posts before me stated.

Or you can download this (the latest gunz launcher file)

and skip having to patch it. Just replace with the old :p
