I believe that it'll cause damage to the significance of the donations since everyone will be using the Activity Points' rewards (donation coins & recycling lucky boxes and cosmetic boxes) as the only source for spending their coins for this kind of gambling feature. Besides, it might also decrease the number of donations per month. We can't ignore the fact that nowadays, there are so many ways to gain donation coins, such as competing in Weekly Comps in various categories, rebirthing a level 99 character, Clan Wars, Activity Points' rewards and recycling lucky boxes and cosmetic boxes (as mentioned above), streaming on Twitch, converting event points to coins and winning special events (VIP, etc..).

so you think lucky boxes arent gambling? youre also not obliged to spend money on the game to gamble, coins are technically of worthless real life value.

I agree. Sounds like a cool idea. but 50-50 seems too high of a probability. If they're gonna make head-tails, then there should be a limit to how much you can stake because its too high. However, if its 33.3% just like rock paper scissors, it seems like a better idea because the probability would be less but you can stake more
