    must be texture on it ?or when we start to converte it to the game i put some texture on

    Got a task for you to complete so I can actually judge your skill.


    Your task:
    Create 1 melee weapon, 1 ranged weapon and 1 random item.
    Weapon models should not go over 150 polygons.
    Textures should not go over 256 x 256.
    Be creative as possible but keep in mind that the models should fit within the game.


    What you sumbit:
    • 3 custom made models
    • models are exported as .elu format through 3DSmax
    • 3 custom made textures
    • textures are saved as .dds



    Tip:
    You can use this forum as your source for all the plugins, programs etc. that is required to have a proper model in the game.

    there is pluigns for 3ds max 2020 or i have to downgrade to 2011 3ds ?

    You have to downgrade to 3DS Max 2010 unfortunately.

    u have links for 2010 3ds ? i cant find it to install
    also it needs a suscription ? because im using student license for 2020 3ds

    Here is my Dagger,Injection,RPG are textured i have done all the task by my self, i had some issues with the old softwares but there is no problem i use my advanced softwares for modeling and texturing
    this file contain :
    3D models exported as Elu format
    some textures saved and applied to the models as DDS DXT 1

    It is the first time that i deal with this file formats always there is first one and it will be more better the next times with the developmen team help

    I think your next step should be UV mapping and combining your textures into 1 per model (injection uses 2 where you could use a small part of the texture to apply that gold).

    The RPG has a flat side UV map so it looks really stretched, same applies for the dagger.
    Also the RPG had multiple of the same texture, where it would be the best to use it only once.


    Google around for some UV mapping tutorials how to do that and how to work with them in your image editor.
    Can also google for 'UV baking', which is what you want in the end instead of having a flat RPG image being stretched out.

    You are taking a good step in the right directions but there is plenty to learn and practise, you can take your time to complete the task instead of rushing it in a day, there is no rush to make things.
