    Hi Gunz people.

I bought a new monitor 240 hz and I can overclock it till 280hz.
I had a discusion with my friend as in he told me you cant use overclock?
All I know is that if you overclock your PC or monitor(when possible) it only gets you more performance overall.
So for example if i bought a new GPU with more performance then that is like the same, right?

Is this considered cheating or not?

    Thanks for your help!

There's a special form of overclocking/underclocking done to manipulate the game's speed, but it doesn't have to do with your monitor, so don't worry about it.

So for example overclocking your PC with MSI afterburner/ inno3D TuneIt, etc. etc. are fine?

When done correctly, yes. Otherwise you may damage your pc components. You dont need 280hz so dont worry about ocing ur screen.

You can overclock both fine, theres a certain way to over/underclock that affects gunz, the normal way to overclock is fine
