I'm not sure how unhappy they could be since there's literally nothing you can spend bounty on, essentially they're losing nothing to gain new features.
An idea could be that when or if you do the reset, everyone get's something for their bounty. Like an custom item depending on what ranking you were on the bounty list before the reset or whatever some smart dev can come up with
