Error while patching

Good afternoon people,

My name is Stokbrood and I am new to FreeStyle Gunz. Years ago I used to play Gunz and all of a sudden I felt the urge to look for a server to casually play again.

I downloaded the game but when I try to patch it I get an error which is related to my firewall.

How do I fix this?

I already told you what to do in the chatbox, I'll repeat it:

Sounds like the game is getting blocked by your firewall, add gunz.exe and launcher.exe (inside your FGunZ folder) to the exception list of your firewall.

Still not working mate. Getting the same error.

In that case you didn't completely turn off the firewall.

Ahhh ****, still not working... I don't get it. I tried everything. I think Freestyle Gunz doesn't want me to play again, haha!

There are 2 more things you should check before giving up:

1. Your anti virus could be preventing your connection even though you're whitelisting it, disabling the anti virus could work. Please double check your anti-virus to make sure it's not blocking files of FGunZ, that could be the issue.
2. Weird solution but could try, try using a VPN (select a country/server close to your location).
