There are actually sliding wrist rests if you don't think static wrist pads would work. I've seen them but I've personally never tried them, one such product I've seen is the DeltaHub Carpio. Something like this:
Again I'm not recommending this product specifically since I've never tried it nor have I tried any sliding wrist rests so I can't speak to how they work, just throwing it out there for you to look up.
