We've been working on several things, and we're glad to announce that the following changes are now ready for release!
FGUNZ UPDATE // 06 NOV 2024
LAUNCHER
- New Launcher! Built on a better code base, with a new design, insanely better performance, reduced size and less false-positives.
GAMEPLAY
- Further optimized tickrates. We now have the following state:
- -> Glad function updates: 10 ticks (-> vanilla)
- -> Basic info updates: 20 ticks
- -> Velocity updates: 40 ticks + tick-less (instant) velocity updates
- Reworked Archetype V2 for better compatibility across systems (Thanks, Jetman!)
- Added (custom) taunt animation for medkits/mines/tnt/pills/vials/etc. (Thanks, Menotso!)
- Fixed sticky grenade crash.
- Fixed players randomly adopting the crosshairs of other players.
- Fixed 0 damage hits and rewrote code to fix being able to hit or be hit by A/E users.
- Fixed QOTD having no effect on CQ 1.2
- Fixed users being able to plant new TNT on round end in team-modes to deal damage at the beginning of the next round.
- Fixed players being able to use /delay command in event channel.
- Fixed being unable to join event rooms via /join event.
- While in an event room, you are now able to join regular rooms by typing /join <room number>.
- Fixed error message when trying to join non-existent room.
- Fixed ghosted users being able to take the bomb from you by typing /bomb.
- Fixed camera positions not updating correctly when spectating other players during certain moves (e.g. while tumbling).
- Fixed ELO issues where hidden staff or players in the game room were considered as third player in 2-player matches.
- Fixed sun/lenzflare appearing in maps where it shouldn't.
- Cat in the Hat (+50%) and Event XP Rings (+25%) now stack.
- -> Example, Scrider:
- -> Base: 1M EXP.
- -> As VIP: 1.2M EXP.
- -> As VIP + Cat in the Hat: 1.7M EXP.
- -> As VIP + Cat in the Hat + 1x Event XP Ring: 1.95M EXP.
- -> As VIP + Cat in the Hat + 2x Event XP Ring: 2.2M EXP.
- Improved how empty cartridges (bullet shells) fly after ejection for a smoother effect.
- Increased dagger lunge animation speed by 20%.
- Removed -10% movespeed debuff from x2 large swords.
- Removed goblin scalp, since it's a duplicate of goblin hat.
- Overhauled portal code, now allowing map developers to add their own portals to maps via XML. (Guide)
- Added gravity fields code, now allowing map developers to add their own gravity fields to maps via XML. (Guide)
DYNAMIC DUELS
- You now automatically become a spectator for the rest of the round if you're alone in an arena or after beating your opponent.
- Added arena text at the top to make it easier to see which Arena you're spectating.
- Finished arenas are now greyed out in scoreboard.
- Fixed being able to see dashes and massives of players in other arenas.
- Fixed incorrect scoreboard/arena sorting.
- Added more round options: 20, 25, 30, 40 rounds.
- VIPs can now join Dynamic Duels (if allowed), except if 32 players (or more) are in the room.
SNIPERS
- Added new Sniper bullet tracers.
- Snipers bullets now pass through team mates (unless friendly fire is enabled).
- Visibility of team mates is now reduced to 20% to be less distracting while scoped (unless friendly fire is enabled).
- Reduced Sniper weight from 20 to 15.
- Modified Sniper noscope accuracy: noscope accuracy is now higher when standing still vs moving.
- Fixed several Sniper scope/shot issues in replays.
- Fixed incorrect Sniper (double) bulletmarks while scoped.
- Fixed incorrect Sniper position while scoped.
- Increased Sniper sound range.
- Sniper recoil: the camera now smoothly transitions back to its original position when shooting scoped. Recoil no longer affects the camera when shooting noscoped.
UI
- Added a livestreaming indicator in the top right corner to show if you're live on fgunz.net and for how long. This helps you quickly determine if everything is working and how much time is left. The indicator may take up to 1 minute to appear when going live.
- Fixed search not working in storage.
- Fixed search not working in sell tab.
- You can now search for quest items in shop/equipment.
- "Premiums Items Box" no longer shows up in search unless you search for it.
- Fixed being unable to equip a loadout if something is missing. -> If a loadout fails to equip everything at once due to missing items, it now equips everything that's currently available.
- Improved error message when loadout could not equip all items.
- Fixed some cases where the chat filter was too aggressive.
- Fixed being unable to unequip items by doubleclicking.
- Overhauled playername / hp / ap text when spectating.
- Overhauled damage/mvp message on round-end in team-modes.
- Added Relax' eventinfo changes.
- The game no longer outputs "global event rules" for VIP/Golden Member Events.
- Removed red floating damage numbers due to being too distracting.
- Decreased size of enlarged floating damage numbers.
- Fixed poison damage not showing in damage counter (smoke grenades, poison element).
MAPS
- Arena: Fixed spawns. Added cage at the top (useful for events). (Thanks, HellSniper!)
- cs_assault_new: Fixed spawns, fixed textures, fixed collision. (Thanks, HellSniper!)
- Darker: Fixed collision. (Thanks, HellSniper!)
- TheOffice has been completely overhauled. (Thanks, HellSniper!)
NEW ITEMS
Skeleton Avatar
- We hope you had a wonderful Halloween! Everyone who logged in during the past week has received a free Skeleton Avatar (M) + (F) for 30 days (check your in-game storage!). (Thanks, Menotso!)
- Skeleton Avatar (M) and Skeleton Avatar (F) have also been added to the cosmetic box.
Golden Ticket Items
- Added 2 new golden ticket shotguns: [S] Peacekeeper [TS] (The Superstar) and [S] Peacekeeper [NL] (Northern Lights). (Thanks, Minerva!)
- Added a new golden ticket katana: The Other Half, which features a custom sword trail effect. (Thanks, Minerva!)
- And, by popular request, added a golden ticket Insta Sword: Insta Sword X.

The Other Half: 329 delay, 29 damage, 220 range

BOT AND AA CHANGES

- Fixed bots' velocity increasing when cursor is up.

- Fixed bot teach UI covering chat.
- Added aa auto autoloading file if only 1 is found.

- Added option for aa set wep/dir/pos to refer to all players.
- Added commenting/disabling inside aa auto scripts using "//".

- Fixed "/aa ammo" not persisting on respawn when set to empty.
- Added ability to save aa weps to bots if staff.
- Fixed "/bot mass" not discharging massive.
- Fixed "/aa auto" activating in replays.
- Fixed "/bot stop mimic" breaking bot replays.
- Reworked "/aa sfx".
- Added "/bot gravity".
- Added "/bot speed".
- Fixed "/bot test" crash.
