Hey I was just trying to update the game to play again and my virus program popped up with Trojan:Win32/Sabsik.FL.A!ml
Has anyone had this issues? Is it known? Right now it's sitting in quarantine. Any help would be great.
Thanks

https://freestylersworld.com/showthr...wnloading-GameThe combination of an old code base, VMProtect (used to prevent hacking), and unsigned code is causing the false positives.
As Ommadawn mentioned, there are a ton of antivirus programs out there. For example, if you upload a file to VirusTotal, it checks it against over 70 different antivirus programs, and those are just the ones listed there many more exist. Each antivirus company follows its own rules and detection patterns, meaning we'd need to contact each one individually to whitelist our files. Some dont even accept whitelisting requests. Additionally, Microsoft currently has issues with their submission/whitelisting process. A file might trigger detection on your PC, but when submitted to their online tool, it shows no detection, leading them to say, "We see no detection on our end, so there's nothing to whitelist."
There's nothing wrong with being cautious, but we can give you several reasons why FGunZ isn't a virus:
- FGunZ has been around since 2007 with a clean reputation over 16 years and counting.
- We've had thousands of players over the years, all of whom can confirm that nothing harmful has ever happened to their PCs.
- You can ask other players on Discord, and they'll all confirm that FGunZ is clean and safe to play.
- We accept donations and offer an item shop. Our goal is for people to play and enjoy the game, and possibly donate to support us. Having a virus would go against that goal.
- We have a very long history of development and updates, as you can see here: https://freestylersworld.com/forumdi...-FGunZ-Updates, and we're still actively developing updates (if you join our Discord, you'll see us dropping hints about upcoming updates here and there). It wouldn't make sense for us to put thousands (or rather, tens of thousands) of hours into development just to distribute a virus in a niche game with a small player base. A virus would destroy our reputation, kill the game, and make all our work worthless.
Logically, there's simply no reason for us to ruin everything we've built.
To add on: If you want a guarantee that there is no virus, you could earn our trust and become a developer yourself. Trusted developers get full access to the source code. You'd be able to see everything and build the application yourself, so, this way, you could be 100% sure there is no virus. By the way, we've had many trusted developers with a good reputation over the years many of which have moved on to other projects (e.g. Jetman, Secrets of the Past, S1lent) and they, too, can confirm that there has never been a virus in FG.

I had the same problem, you have to except the entire program in settings>update and security>windows security
>open windows security>antivirus and threat protection>antivirus and threat protection settings>manage settings
>exclusions>add: gunz folder
