There is a reason why the textures where made to be looking old, there was a story so keep it that way thats my opinion.

And that's your right, but in my view, this version is part of that story.
And for the 'story', MaIet did not really give much background information about the maps.

It wasn't just the contrast, it was way more, and there's much more in the map, except I didn't take any screenshots of it since I would need all day to screenshot every part of the map.
I would gladly post the .mrs file, but I'm afraid that McSic will use it without my permission.
But HELL!! You saw right through me! Improving the low quality of the textures in GunZ is my main purpose, you're the first one to see that, thumbs up!

The dinning room colors don't fit right, and whyd you take away the shining light from the center of the map.. >.>. otherwise, its cool. But I wouldn't want to replace what the map is now.

Since many people drew conclusions from the screenshots, I'll make an video, a quick flyby of the map. Will take aprox. 15 minutes. I'll be right back.
