    Well, newly registered to the forums, but I used to play a while back. Apparently there was an account wipe or something, but anyway;

    Recently started modeling again. Hopped from Blender to 3DSMax and back to Blender.

    Constructive criticism on my pole-arm-type deal?

    Also, im kinda stumped on adding textures. I realize that with a custom model (not from another game or anything) I will have to make the texture on my own, and i've read up on UV mapping and stuff, but I never can get it to work out. What is the best approach to that?

    I assure you if it were to be modeled from a game, I could have chosen a better item.

    Youve got some flipped normals on the upper part.
    Thats why its gettin dark all of a suddon on the upper part.
    Looks kinda thick.

    I thought it looked a little thick too. But explain the flipped normals to me. I noticed it was doing that, but I had no clue why. I made faces in those areas the same way I made faces everywhere else. Basically extruding a single edge over and over for basic outline then going back and extruding for the third dimension, after I had all of my edges, I just hit f on all of the places there need to be faces.

    Shits confusing me.
