No audio devices installed

okay so this isnt gunz related but i was hoping you guys could help me. Ever sense i left my laptop on hibernate i cant hear anything out of my laptop speakers and yes my volume is turned up. I've tried restarting my computer multiple times but still no results and i didnt just upgrade to windows 7. please help me D:

Have you tried going into the bios and making sure that the onboard sound is not disabled?

I have a Toshiba laptop with Realtek sound. I got the same msg that "No Audio device was found" so I simply went into my Control Panel, switched to Classic View, and opened the Device Manager. Then I opened the Sound folder, clicked on the Realtek and told it to DISABLE, then ENABLE. Problem solved.
