Good ping depends on:
- Your internet service provider location.
- Your internet dl / up speed.
- Applications you got running on the background. (Sort of force lagg if you are running tons of applications while playing GunZ.)

and making sure firewalls aren't blocking your connections
so if u are enduring crappy pings i'd suggest you to turn off ur firewall, and if it still occurs try port forwarding perhaps?
