I'd like to get a Static IP.

I have a static IP on my computer, but the one on my modem constantly changes(Every time I reset my modem, the featured IP on whatismyip.com always changes, but if I only reset my router, it stays the same). I've tried about 3-4 fixes, but none of them work. I'm not exactly sure how I'm supposed to set this up. Any help would be appreciated, but spam won't live long on this thread.

Please note, I have Vista with a Belkin router and a SpeedStream 5100 modem.

It`s possible your router/modem is broke. I had the same before. My router was broke so I got disconnected all the time and had other IP`s all the time. But that was a while ago.

Same here at my moms house, I neva can connect to internet because somethings wrong my IP...it changes all the time >.>
But my modem/router is broken i think my modem...
this doesn't happen when i'm at ma dad's house so...
you should probaly need to buy a new modem o.0

Gotta call ur ISP and ask them for a static, Dynamic is faster than static but static is yours.

It could be a virus either, my brother just found it out that i had a virus and probaly that's issue o.o

So you could check your computer if you got any viruses o.o

My I.P Changes every 2 Month's so i don't end up being DDOSed.
