Fraps help needed!!!!

alright so when ever i press F9 to record, my fps goes from 200-300 (before f9) all the way down to 10-20 (during recording).
i have no idea why the hell its doing this all of a sudden. my guess is that i didnt have a whole lot of disk space in my c drive. i only had around 100 mb left lol.
but then i cleared some space and had 40 gb left. so then i tried recording again hoping i wouldnt lag but i still did.
before, when i usually record, the frame is good like 100-200 but today its just being shitty.
any advice?
