[Windows XP] Themes problem.

Well, I've got the same problem as this guy :

I can't apply any other theme except Royale or Zune. A program named " Uxtheme Multi-patcher " could help me to solve the problem.. BUT.. I'm afraid that this program may affect my PC badly, such as, after installation it's asking me to reboot my PC and I click " Yes, I want." and after the reboot my PC just freezes. Can I use this program to patch my visual styles or may it affect my PC ?

My PC Specs. :

System :
Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3
Computer :
AMD Sempron(tm) 2200+

lol im using royale noir on my xp XD
i just doubled click the theme and then poof theme applied
did you downloaded a file to use custom theme? if it is, its in your system32

I patched everything already, done some researched and didn't found anything which could effect my PC. The only thing is that now when I try to apply other theme it's bugged.

No thanks .. re-installed it 4-5 times last year. I'm gonna use Zune ..

I'd suggest some proper software rather than random software (there are tons of theme programms around).
(And most of them are shit tbh).
I recommend using TuneUp.
Its not only a system maintance tool but also allows customization without patching and crap.
(Icon size, Space between Icons, Shortcut Icon removal, Custom Bootscreen/Logonscreen, Icon set, Styles etc.)

Reads most of the xp containers/packs so its not restricted to some fancy type.
And you dont have to reboot for a change of your theme.
Using it myself altough a older version xD (tuneup 2007).

My cousin has a lot of PC knowledge and he recommended me WindowsBlinds program, the best for now but it would always screw up anything like Desktop, after Right Clicking > the menu doesn't show up..
