I never ever see SupperWaffle in-game, which means he hardly online.
What about those who just joined this server or recently?? Is that fair
If those who just joined are alot better in helping the community, won't they have a chance?
Not to ego but say the truth..

Newcomers obviously won't get an equal chance due to the fact that it takes time to acquire a good understanding of how a person really is. Anyone can act like they're beneficial to the server in a short period of time, it's the internet. Even after trial GMs were chosen, old gens were still cut and loss their positions.

Superwaffle probably doesn't have time to read all the GM applications and reject/consider applications one after another right now, especially that its harder on him since there is no Head GM and hes currently the only Admin active as we all can see. This is probably the reason why he didnt open them. Besides, he knows the community very well and is well aware of everything. He will occasionally hand Trial GM/GM out to people who don't ask for it and qualify based on his judgment's of their ability and their trustworthiness as demonstrated today. With this being said, it's kinda useless to open GM Applications, but maybe sometime in the futher, GM Applications will open.

Hope this clears out why Trial GM's were chosen instead of the GM Application Section openning.
