You are not unwilling when your choices are prison for life or fighting.
Dictators are not elected. People are not given a chance to vote.
They're under a completely different system than you are thinking of.
Half the time, they don't even think about having another leader, because they know it could never happen.
You don't think about America turning to communism, do you? No, because it will never happen.
Never has a leader that I've ever heard of say that the last leader or the leader after their reign was responsible for anything counter-productive.
No one wants to place blame on anyone, or there would be unnecessary conflict.
It's not stupid to rule with an iron fist, or 'carry a big stick,' they have been proven to work for much longer than democracy and freedom have proven themselves.
I'm not even going to discuss N.K. with you.
The fact is, there's nearly no evidence that kids are starving, they are so counter-communication.
Anything you say about them has no basis beyond rumors. The same goes to me.
'Brainwashed' is not the term you are trying to use.
'Brainwashed' implies that they, at one point, understood that they could be away from their leaders jurisdiction.
They were never taught that they COULD disagree.
I return to my previous point; they don't even know that they can disagree.
People want power. People do things for power. That's all war is, another way to get power.
The only way people will stop causing wars is if everyone was under the reign of one impossibly strict being.

War is definitively a blessing in disguise.
War is amazing for the economy and for population control whether it be on purpose or not.
At this point war will continuously go on forever. As long as we're different, we will fight.

Hard to hear, but you are quite true on all parts I suppose. I don't try to be literal with everything..
Like when I mentioned a dictator.. I merely meant to mention types of leaders, but that is my fault for not clarifying..
Not the most important thing in my opinion.. Also should consider what I read and write will be read
by someone else and they'll get a different answer or definition.
And I guess there is a time to fight for everything... Wish there was no reason to fight in the first place though..
The point is you get the debate. I merely expressed my opinion and whatever knowledge
I may know or deem to be true in a way to express what I 'think' I know.
But I'm sure you knew that. I will at times be "ignorant" on certain cases.
With that in mind, what do you think about the situations of war as they come and go?
As you mentioned, if everyone was under the reign of one impossibly strict being..
It's hard to say if that will work. I could see the same thing happening, as a power-hungry being, regardless of their race/species/etc.
Isn't the nature of power, it will make you seek more? That's probably greed. At least I see it that way.
If that were true, perfection would have to exist. But we all know there is no such perfection anywhere.
Hence it brings what we mentioned about nature or circle of life. It may start really good, but could end in a different direction.
Here's a quote from a book that I supposed to be reading:
"
If history is a "seamless web," then the present, the future,
and the past must all be parts of one uncut, uninterrupted fabric. No individual, therefore, can completely escape his past, nor any nation.
This fact has especial significance for the United States, whose policy grows out of the will of a democratic society and must, over the long
run, reflect the will of the peoples." A quote from a book in 1956. Where's our democracy? We don't want war.
Ah but I see you said just to stop war, but it won't last forever, which I'm not saying you don't know, but that it wouldn't last. We will fall
again into another recession of whatever is to come. I'm just adding to the topic..
"It's not stupid to rule with an iron fist, or 'carry a big stick,' they have been proven to work for much longer than democracy and freedom have proven themselves."
Hehe you were talking about communism right? Well yeah but I totally disagree with the genocides and crimes they commit. We supposed to aim for an easy life for all.
It's morally unacceptable..
From what I learned from this thread, more and more it seems impossible to avoid >__<; We should try to at all costs... though.. What's the worst that can happen? Besides the economic side and whatnot.
I don't blame you if you don't want to read this wall of text

People didn't rebel against Hitler. Because if you didn't join the socialist party, you died.
BTW: communism really isnt that bad.

Communism does not imply any type of terrorism.

Are you kidding me? Say that to anyone who was under control by Soviet Union! That is if they follow your definition of communism.
Just ask any Polish person -_- They had curfews.. Forced them to learn Russian. Lenin was pissed when he "saved" Poland from Germany
and thought the countries would go communist with their country, which they didn't. In turn, he started to take control and there
was little the other "super powers" could say or do about it due the special circumstances i.e. cold war. I know Poland and Russia has been
at each other's necks back in 1800s/1900s. They "claim" Ukraine is their's. The Polish president along with military officials mysteriously died
in an accident not too long ago on a plane with his wife when they went to go see a place in Russia that is said where they executed Polish
people and have no records of the numbers, and their deaths was blamed on the smoke from the volcanoes? Or something like that? Hell no.
We all know what happened. It's just undeniable because of the long hate. Even if they aren't officially communist, there's still a lot of tension today.
I know I went over my head talking about other stuff, but like in this case.. They used harsh tactics along with fear to keep communism driving along until it collapsed
thankfully on my birth year. Has there has been one instance where communism was used for "good" or put in a proper or good way so far in history? It's all been bloodshed.
Am I not right? And what happened when parents said anything bad about the government or leaders?
The kids had to snitch to the military or some official so they can take them away.
And! To top it off. Communism was accomplish in Russia peacefully. They killed millions of their own people... And that goes no different for China.
There's the huge distinction between democracy and communism. Democracy wasn't as bad as to sacrifice as communism did. And also the families involved with the communist government make up the majority of the wealthy.. Is that fair? Equal?
Uhh maybe I'm talking a little out of context with "war"? Democracy may not be as pure as it once was, but it has/had the best way of living.
Liberty or death, y'know? What's the point in living if you can't live the way you want? You're no different than being dead honestly.
Also: People living in countries of the post-soviet union were rated in the lowest level of happiness globally compared to the other countries in the world.
