There was a hot-fix where if you did your 10 placements you would get 1 more extra game for a more balanced placement, say you were plat you would get placed in gold for example instead to straight bronze.
Though some people had the issue after this hot-fix that they were diamond already in the pre-season did their one extra placement game and hit silver I, so it is not really really fixed.

was short 1 tear to fully destroy the enemy team, legend says if you get 6 tears it'll change into a destructive weapon that will automatically end the game
