Not really, I like how it is divided into NA/LAN/CN/EUW/EUNE/OCE/KR and so on.
Makes the competition for worlds a lot more fun in my opinion.

Besides, how will you solve the ping issue, the NA/EUW server would have to be connected.. the ping issue will still be the same.
