tbh just ignore the chat, if you can't resist yourself from flaming or saying something just /ignore all at the start of the game.
You won't get banned if you got reported 9x in just one game, reports are based on multiple games and during a certain period and I doubt all 9 reported you.

The feeding is worse though, you can get your ass camped and go 1-12 and Rito's professional trash punishment system says: You intentionally fed, you get punished! Whereas someone else who just inted 0-6 doesn't receive anything because that can happen. System is trash, but way better compared to last season.

Smart idea,i'll chatmute everyone by now, however i looked it up but i dont really understand it.

Competitive play should reward positive sportsmanship just as much as they reward great play, so the most negative players with chat restrictions at the end of the season will be ineligible to earn ranked end of season rewards such as the loading screen borders or the Victorious champion skin.

Does this mean if i play the chat restricted matches (9) before the season ends i'll just get my rewards or am i doomed already?

I usually mute everyone before I start my ranked games, communicating with pings is enough for me.

I only mute people who already are annoying in champ select or pre-first wave.
Sometimes it is useful not to mute every single team member for idea's on objectives like baron or drake calls.
