You don't get placed with people in your division, you get placed with people based on how they're doing in ranked.
I've been placed with or against people who are in like gold, once platinum.

i dont check their divisions, mostly are just silver/gold 4/5

Basically if you were to lose consecutive games, you'd be paired with people of a lower division/skill level.
