Kayle can counter Zed hard (besides the ultimate).
Maybe the Zed had a bad game/day, or is just bad.

I tried it on Cait as well but the harrass sucked because I was so weak. xD

Upgrade it asap to that one gem so you have that hp/ mana regen n stuff -> also if you got philo you get gold per 10, in the end you will not lose gp out of buying it (see it as a free hidden slot).
