let him watch professional players from the lcs play on some streams on youtube, they usually most of the time explain everything and how to play, that's how i learned how to play, also let him play by himself and try stuff out by himself, this way its much better for him as he will get used to it sooner or later, also let him play against bots more often so he can get used to the keys and the amateur gameplay he will see from the bots he play against, then he can go online against some people
