When I attempt to start the game, I press the "Start Game" button on the launcher. It does its thing for a moment, and then the screen turns black as if it's about to enter full-screen. Then, before anything is seen, it just goes back to my desktop and I see the launcher at the bottom-righthand side of my screen and it still says starting game. After a moment or two, it just goes away, as if it has already done its job and started the game.

How much memory does your computer have?
Which operating system are you running?
Is the screen resolution correct in your config.xml file in the FGunZ folder?
It's a terrible thing, I think, in life to wait until you're ready.
I have this feeling now that actually no one is ever ready to do anything.
There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now.
And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

I have 4 GB of RAM.
Running Windows 8 Consumer Preview (hasn't been a problem in the past).
config.xml says 800x600, and I'm running HDMI to a TV who's native resolution is 1680x1050. I think this might be a problem, though I always run the game in low resolution anyway.

Is it the first time this happened or did you already play FGunZ on that OS?

I played FGunZ on the OS for over a month and never had this problem. This is the first time this has happened.

For whatever reason, I don't think GunZ.exe is even starting. I watched task manager and didn't see it show up. O.o

Edit: Ignore that. I just saw GunZ.exe pop up for a second.

Did you check if this is the problem?
