Windows Vista and McAfee Solution !

Hey all you Windows Vista users out there,

Have you realised that sometimes you are able to update your GunZ and sometimes your not? Well this should surely help you out. This will help all those vista users with McAfee anti virus.

Well normally when you update and you have McAfee on, it will automatically delete your GunZ.exe thinking that it is a virus, well it's not. The way to prevent this is you have to go to McAfee, basically open it up (bottom right corner), once it opens up, go to your internet and computer settings within McAfee, it should say everything is on. What you'll need to do is click everything to OFF, except your Personal Information one, keep that on, as that will prevent your personal information from being sent over the net.

After this is done, basically close McAfee, and run your GunzLauncher.exe and it should update just fine. But just keep in mind, everytime McAfee updates, it will usually turn everything back to On. So just go though the same process.

Hope it helps those of you with Vista + McAfee antivirus. Because it surely worked for me !

why would u use McAfee? damn its slow.... just use spyware doctor and turn it off and scan it once in a time....? my friends pc has mcafee to and he doesnt have a good processor .... it scans automaticly and thats annoying, i suggest u just ask stroop if u get a virus... or use spyware doctor and unlock a proces if u cant delete and then delete or delete a proces manually with ur hand then delete whole folder thingy or something?

I had McAfee as default AV installed when I bought this Vista PC.

Doesn´t work for me though, I have a different Error.

The same thing happens with Kaspersky and a useful tip is to just pack the GunzLauncher.exe into an an rar or you can dl the launcher I've uploaded to mediafire GunzLauncher Download
