    Try updating using windows updated or whatever it's called.
    im sure their is a later version of a service pack that you don't have installed

    Scroll a bit down until you reach "Option One".
    Follow the steps and disable DEP.

    i dont have vist or windows 7, i have xp sp3 ... i typed that command in , as said in option 1, and nothing happens

    I'm guessing you also installed the redistributable package?
    Can be found in the redist folder of FGunZ.

    yes , also installed, and went back and reinstalled, and just to make sure were both on the same page, im no longer getting direct x error

    Did you try to add gunz.exe and launcher.exe to the exception list of Avast! already?
