You can use this tool to scan for Wi-Fi networks and to see on which channel they are.
Select the channel which is free or barely used.

Duplex setting is not always an available setting in your router/modem, but if it's there, set it to full duplex.
Just crawl all of the pages in your router/modem.

Nick, for some reason, I feel like your receiver just doesn't want to work with your router. I've Googled it and looking into, and idunno, nothing I found had anything to do with problems other than them just not working together.

Guys it has been fixed, there was no solution to it so KingHaze was kind enough to send me his own USB stick through the mail.
it just got delivered a few hours ago and i'm gaming/streaming AND downloading at the same time for a while now without ANY issues.
