FIRST OFF, I KNOW I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO POST THIS HERE BUT SINCE PROFILES DON'T ALLOW FOR MESSAGES LONGER THAN 1000 CHARACTERS TO BE POSTED, I AM DOING IT HERE, AND I WANT TO VOICE MY OPINION.

Doing this in a seperate thread here since your resignation page was closed, mainly replying to what Luneth and Jakanadin wrote and I completely disagree with what both of them have to say and I want to say thanks to what you've done:
It's never pathetic to leave over whatever reason there may be at whichever time it might be. One critical factor to being successful and competent as a staff member is if you actually enjoy the job you're doing for this server. If you're not content with the community, why would you even bother to stay to moderate it? I have experienced this first-hand, and many others, including Luneth and Jakanadin aswell. You might say that times are critical here as of now (I wouldn't know, I don't follow the discussions and developments on here anymore, at least not as much as I used to, quite ironically for the same reason as both of your resignations, only had I realised it much earlier), but really, is that a reason to be obliged to stay? If you don't want to be part of the staff anymore, you're very much so allowed to quit, aren't you? Saying that it's pathetic to leave at a time like this is a sign of being pathetic yourself. Everyone is entitled to have his own opinion and has his own right to do whatever he wants to do. Truth be told, the constantly changing community on here was one of my main reasons to quit being a GM. It's not the actual change that leads to a decision like this, it's the fact that this change is completely detrimental for the server, and has been exactly so for the last 2~3 years. It's obviously quite clear that lately things haven't been thought about twice around here, with the whole madness about the Event Team and the recent GM Applications. I've read a share of those applications, and even though I don't know most of the people who applied, it's easy to decide from a mere look at some random threads and posts and behavior around the forums and in-game whether a person is even qualified for trials or not, and I can safely say that I agree with both Alex and Joobie that the decisions have, softly speaking, not been made very carefully. I can only say that, if you are extremely discontent with those decisions made like Alex and Joobie clearly are, it's only natural that you don't want to be part of it all anymore. Because this is isn't just discontent with the community, but it's discontent with your own staff, your colleagues. Why would you stay with them if you don't support their actings? And Luneth, the incredibly prejudiced post you made stating that they ''shouldn't talk about shit they don't know''? I can only speculate as to why such ridiculous behavior is being allowed here. A staff member like yourself knows better than to put up with such negative and biased attitude, especially considering your knowledge about Joobie's past here. And to both you and Jak and everybody disagreeing with what both of them wrote: Do you guys really think that one incident is reason enough to leave? Isn't it quite obvious that when Joobie writes that the community has only been changing for the worst over the last few years that he's generalising his statement and making it clear that he has been unhappy about the negative changes here for a long time? There's always one last straw, in this case the recent choices made by the staff. It's even comparable to the direct and passive lead that caused WW1, although I'm pretty sure 90% of here wouldn't understand that reference anyway, only underlining the decremental value of this community. I've made my point, I am not looking forward to getting into arguments. If you wish to reply to my rant feel free to do so, however don't expect a reply from me. I'm merely expressing my disagreement with everything that I've just read. Joobie, you've done a great job for this community throughout the years. I've been staff alongside you (I think?), and I've been here long enough to know what you are like and how well you do your job. Your devotion has always been admirable, it's inevitable that when struck by discontent for so long even something so big vanishes. Don't let the haters get you down, kudos to you. Same thing for you Alex, although I can't recall if I've seen a lot of you (Too many name changes >_>)

Anyway, thanks for reading. I know it's probably weird to see me being serious around here, since my last bunch of threads were all troll threads, so please don't address me on that. People who have known me for a long time here know that I can write my rants pretty well, and that I can actually be serious at times. Also, don't give me tl;dr or 'you don't know what you're talking about' bullshit. If it's too long for you or you have no idea what I'm addressing here, you shouldn't have read it anyway.

I agree if this has to be locked, especially since this might be leading to some heat. I just wanted to voice my opinion. Thanks.
