Not as joyfull, but somewhat similar, deals with relationship with an idol, White Album. Season 2 is currently airing too.

For some reason, princess jellyfish comes to my mind also.
Beck deals with music also, but it's not on the same kind of tone. It's definelty slightly darker, and doesn't only involve girls.
Nana also deals with music, although it's more complicated. Good story though, you'll get hooked.

As of your to-watch list, nothing in there really marked me, Seto no Hanayome (something like that at least) can be funny at first, but that's about it, everything else left me a mild impression.

I've seen White album. I prefer the current White Album season as it's more modern in society. I've also watch Princess jellyfish didn't really like it. I watch a trailer for Nana. Now that I think about it, I do remember watching about a year ago. About two girls with different personalties I think I dropped it because I wasn't into it. I might try it again though.

I'm personally not a fan of Log Horizon. For a second there, around episode 4-6 or so, I thought it had some potential, but it has failed me since then. I haven't given up on it though. To watch it, i'd wait till more episodes get out, or you might get deceived or placed with false hopes.

As for the actual question, SAO has more of a personality to it. The fast paced story, the way the main character is some overpowered guy, and not a whimpy you-know-what. You won't find that uniqueness in Log Horizon. It's like a wanna-be mix of Death Note smartness and SAO / .hack concept. Still enjoyable though, but as I said earlier, I wouldn't quite watch it yet without waiting a bit. It's most likely (99%) a downgrade from SAO, but how far down is up to the creators, since the ending hasn't came out yet, you never know what could happen, it could turn out to be magnificent... who knows.
