After the launcher loads and I press play, a error message pops up stating fail to initialize DirectX. I have the latest version of directx and I have tried deleting config and nothing seemed to work. Any suggestions?

Update DirectX
Go to config.xml and resize your video to 800x600 or just take mine:

Save it as config.xml and put it on your GunZ folder and it should work.
note: You may need to change shaders and that stuff to "false".
It's nothing with your graphics card needing to be updated.
There's something that's preventing DirectX from booting up and it's a mismatch in resolution (or at least that's what it was for me).
