Regardless, everyone has their own preferences.

I'm a mixed kind of person, myself. I prefer slice of life with half of it comedic and the other half plawt.

Then there's times where I just need action or I just jump right into VNs like the whole month I spent on Tsukihime just to be more confused than I was before reading it. (Melty Blood really does help in terms of understanding it, so I am more knowledgeable about it now).
