Before I go to school, I always Sleep my PC instead of shutting it down.
I've wondered, during a storm it's good to completely shut down your computer because we know what might be the consequences if you let it run during a storm.
So my question is, is it safe to Sleep it if I know a storm is coming? Is my PC protected from the lightnings?
I know while in Sleep mode the only thing that's running is the RAM but still.. is it safe to leave it on Sleep mode or it's better to shut it down completely?

If you shut it completely, there will be no electricity running around so the thunderstorm wouldn't catch it. If you know what i mean. I've experience this once, I leave my computer in sleep mode and during this strong thunderstorm weather, I didn't care at all. I just leave it like that and when the thunder zap. My computer went off instantly and couldn't be turned on ;w; ( sorry for bad grammar jajaja )

So it's best you shut it off completely

Thanks.. there's the logic lol and I didn't figure it out myself cuz I'm stupid.
Of course it's not safe because there is still electricity running even if it's only RAM there still is.
    Oke thanks for the info.

instead of sleep, put it in hibernate.
similar to sleep but uses no electricity.
also you could get an adapter which allows your pc to be safe during storms.

Well The best way is always to turn off all Electricity that is not in use in your house to prevent Fire or something that can destroy your house... Or Unplug too...
